This is my first proper model railway build. I have made and attempted several layouts, but this one is for serious. I decided to based my layout at the first UK Preserved standard gauge railway the Bluebell.
The station I chose, Horsted Keynes the middle station on the line for the moment until the extension opens to East Grinstead.
The station itself has 5 platforms 2 bay platforms and 2 mainlines through the middle. Both main stations have a canopy which extends about half way along both platforms.
Horsted Keynes also has many storage sidings which also influenced my choice for keeping stock on show,
When I first started building the layout I had 3 mix and match bogie coaches, and a mixture of freight which came with my first standard layout.
On this site you can see how things have grown over the few months in stock and the layout itself, August 2007 was when the layout started so now its on its first birthday I decided to open this site.
I hope you Enjoy this site, and I fully urge you to go to the railway it self - The Bluebell Railway
